$1 Million Orange Krush Gift Earns Name on SFC Club

The Orange Krush has made a name for itself through its leadership and innovation as one of the nation's premiere student support groups. The University of Illinois is excited to announce the Krush are continuing their leadership away from the court with a $1 million gift to the State Farm Center to name the Orange Krush Club.
Effective Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, normal ticket operations for the UI Division of Intercollegiate Athletics and State Farm Center will move off campus to Shoppes of Knollwood shopping plaza, 2141 South Neil St., Champaign, during the renovation of State Farm Center.
More than 300 premium seating donors will be recognized at the men's basketball game on Wednesday. To date, these accumulated gifts total more than $2.5M.

The new horse shoe drive on the west side of State Farm Center will be named "John Penicook Drive" following the generous $1 million gift by his family.
State Farm Center Leadership Gifts Announced

More than 40 donors have provided generous gifts designated to the renovation of State Farm Center. Working closely with the Office of Athletic Development, donors have had the opportunity to make a significant impact by making contributions to name various locations within the facility. These 40 donors, in addition to those gifts previously announced, combined to raise more than $9 million in leadership gifts.
Mannie Jackson broke down barriers as a Fighting Illini basketball player and student-athlete in the 1950s, and is now helping lead the way in the Illinois Renaissance of State Farm Center with a $3 million gift in support of the Mannie L. Jackson University of Illinois Basketball Hall of Fame.
Gift Adds Ubben Name to SFC Donor Recognition Wall

Tim and Sharon Ubben, who added their family name to the Ubben Basketball Practice Facility in 1998, are the latest Fighting Illini benefactors to add their name to a significant piece of State Farm Center with a $2 million naming rights gift for the Donor Recognition Wall.
The support and momentum of the Illinois Renaissance of State Farm Center continues to grow. The University of Illinois is honored to announce that 1968 graduate Jim Benson and his family have agreed to make a $2 million gift to name the Fighting Illini Legacy Club in State Farm Center. The name he selected is fitting as a Legacy is something from the past; something that is handed down; something that remains from a previous generation or time.
The vision of the Illinois Renaissance of State Farm Center was embraced by longtime University of Illinois supporter and 1983 graduate John Giuliani. Mr. Giuliani was the first donor to make a commitment to one of the numerous naming opportunities within this historic landmark. The UI is honored that Mr. Giuliani will prominently recognize his family at State Farm Center following a $5 million naming rights gift for the naming of the John Giuliani Family Traditions Club.

State Farm Center Project Receiving Strong Support

More than $30 million has been committed by University of Illinois I FUND donors in support of the Illinois Renaissance of State Farm Center since January, giving the project an outstanding start. The UI and State Farm announced in April a 30-year, $60-million agreement that changed the name of the building, which was previously known as the Assembly Hall, to State Farm Center, as the iconic structure undergoes a major renovation project scheduled for completion in the fall of 2016. The investment by State Farm is the largest by a corporation for a collegiate venue.
