Education:
An Oklahoma native, Clapp earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in geography from Oklahoma State University in 1992 and 1998.

Responsibilities:
At Illinois, Clapp oversees academic programs for the baseball, men's golf, and women's soccer teams, plus serves as the athletics liaison to campus/new student registration.

Past Experience:
She began her career in athletics as a tutor at Oklahoma State while pursuing her undergraduate degree, and later served as a graduate assistant in academic services for student-athletes from 1992-94. After working in continuing education, Clapp returned to athletics in 1996, as the academic enhancement intern at Rider through May 1997, and worked as academic intern at Pittsburgh through that summer. She was then named asst. director of student-athlete academic and developmental services at Ohio University, a position she held for two years. From 1999 until arriving at Illinois, Clapp worked in educational administration at Ohio, serving as Degree Audit Reporting Specialist in the Registrar's Office.
