Education:
Dylan Cooper earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology-human performance from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2020.

Job Responsibilities:
Cooper works directly with the Fighting Illini cross country, track and field, and wrestling teams.

Past Experience:
Prior to Illinois, Cooper spent the 2022-23 season as volunteer assistant track and field coach for the Fighting Illini. From 2021-22, Cooper served as a volunteer assistant track and field coach at North Carolina. During that time, he was an intern at Athletic Lab, a sport performance facility in Morrisville, North Carolina. In 2019, he was a performance intern at ETS Performance in Woodbury, Minnesota, where he worked with athletes ranging from middle school to elite college athletes.

Personal:
Cooper is from La Crosse, Wisconsin, and now resides in Mahomet, Illinois. He is actively competing in track and field in the decathlon. He represented Team USA in 2022 and is currently training for the 2024 US Olympic Trials. Cooper holds certifications from National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), USA Track and Field, and first aid, CPR and AED.
