The Meet
Illinois women's track and field high jumper Kandie Bloch-Jones has qualified to compete at the 2014 NCAA Indoor Championships on March 14-15 in Albuquerque, N.M. The freshman is the first Illini to qualify for nationals in the event since the 2007 season.

Less than a week ago, Bloch-Jones captured the Big Ten title in the high jump after clearing a height of 1.80m, which is just under her personal-best. The freshman has held the top mark in the conference since Feb. 15 when she jumped 1.82m at the Tyson Invitational, which is also the fourth-best mark in school history. Bloch-Jones has finished in the top-three in every meet she's competed in this season, and placed either first or second in all but one meet.

The high jump trials and finals are scheduled for 4:30 p.m. CT on Saturday. ESPN3 will stream the meet live on Friday, March 14 starting at 6:55 p.m. CT and on Saturday, March 15 beginning at 6:50 p.m. CT. A tape delay of the championships will air Saturday, March 22 at 5:30 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
