CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Senior Tamika Robinson was selected for this weekend's NCAA Indoor Championships in College Station, Texas, as the official declaration list was announced Monday night. The Chicago, Ill., native was one of 16 competitors to qualify in the 60m hurdles with her career-best time of 8.17 from the Illini Classic, which tied for the 14th-fastest mark in the country.
Robinson, who earned a trip to nationals for the second year in a row, will compete at Texas A&M's Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium in the prelims of the 60m hurdles on Friday, March 11 at 4:30 p.m. CT. The top-eight hurdlers will advance to Saturday's event final, which is slated for 5:20 p.m. CT.
Last season at the NCAA Indoor Championships, Robinson just missed making the finals by eight thousandths of a second after timing 8.22 during prelims. She then earned her first career All-America honors at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 100m hurdles.
ESPN2 will show a tape delay of the event on March 16 at 1:30 p.m. CT. ESPN3 will webstream the event on Friday, March 11 from 4-8:40 p.m. and Saturday, March 12 from 4-7:50 p.m. The remainder of the event will be streamed live on NCAA.com.
