Meet Schedule and Heat Sheets

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- The Illinois women's track and field team will begin the indoor season on Saturday Jan. 11 at the Illini Open. The meet will also feature the Illini men's track and field team, and will begin at 10 a.m. at the UI Armory. A full meet schedule and heat sheets can be found above.

After a very successful 2013 season as the second leg on the record-breaking 4x400m relay team, Ahlivia Spencer looks to have the same success in the 400m dash. The senior will run the 400m to alongside newcomer Nicole Choquette to start the year. Amanda Duvendack will open the season running in the 600m race after qualifying for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 800m last season. The senior will also compete in the 200m dash alongside teammate Asia Thomas, who was a member of the 4x400m relay team that won a Big Ten indoor title last season. After qualifying for the NCAA Cross Country Championships in November, junior Alyssa Schneider will lead the four Illini entered in the mile race.

In the field events, last year's Illini Open champion Jennifer DeBellis will compete in the pole vault, while newcomer Kandie Bloch-Jones will make her Illini debut in the high jump alongside teammate Samone Thompson. Mariah Smith looks to defend her Illini Open title in the weight throw, while Kristen Wilson seeks to do the same in the shot put.

Illinois returns to the Armory next weekend for the Illini Classic before traveling to Lexington, Ky. for the Rod McCravy Memorial Meet on Jan. 24-25. The Illini then head to South Bend, Ind. on Feb. 7-8 for the Notre Dame Meyo Invite before splitting up on Feb. 14-15 for the Tyson Invite and the Iowa State Classic. The Illini end the regular season at home on Feb. 22 at the Orange & Blue Open, then travel to Geneva, Ohio for the Big Ten Indoor Championships on Feb. 28-Mar. 1. The NCAA Indoor Championships will be held in Eugene, Ore. on Mar. 14-15.
