BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Senior Meagan Hynes lead the Illini at the Hoosier Invitational on Friday afternoon. Three of the five runners placed in the top-10 and two in the top-20, collegiately.
"The girls did a good job," volunteer coach Elizabeth Boyle said. "They took advantage of the competition they had on what was a very challenging course."
Coming off last weekend's Big Ten Championships, Hynes crossed the finish line with a time of 19:11.32 to finish second overall in the collegiate results. Finishing close behind Hynes was teammate Colette Falsey finishing seventh overall and second for the squad with a 5K time of 19:23.12. Rounding out the Orange and Blue finishers were junior Rachel Irion (19:41.13), Michelle Frigo (19:47.57) and Amanda Zamora (20:53.53).
