Illinois Cross Country 2011

The University of Illinois will host three collegiate cross country meets during the 2011 season plus the Big Ten Cross Country Championships. For information regarding U of I home cross country meets, contact meet director Eric Vetter at (217) 333-0534 or eavetter@illinois.edu.

Illini Challenge

The Illini Challenge is an open meet for collegiate teams and individual collegiate or post-collegiate unattached runners. All open/unattached athletes are required to sign a waiver (available in the meet information). The women run 4km at 6:30 p.m. The men run 6km at 7 p.m. Meet information can be found HERE.

Orange and Blue Preview

The Orange and Blue Preview has been added for the 2011 season as a preliminary run on the championship course that will be used for the Big Ten Championships. The women run 6km at 4:30 p.m. The men run 8km at 5:15 p.m. Space is available for additional NCAA Division I teams. Contact the meet director if interested in competing. Illini Open

All open/unattached athletes are required to sign a waiver (available in the meet information). The women run 5km at 4 p.m. The men run 8km at 4:45 p.m. Meet information can be found HERE.

Big Ten Championships

The Big Ten Cross Country Championships return to Champaign for the first time since the 2001 season. The men will race 8km at 10:45 a.m. and the women will race 6km at 11:45 a.m. Admission will be free. Visit the Big Ten Championship Central for more information.
