2008 - Junior: Opened up the 2008 season at the Illini Challenge, placing fifth for the Orange and Blue with a 4K time of 15:44.59...Ran a personal best 5K time of 19:18 at the Bradley Open to place fourth for the Illini...Raced at the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships with a 5K time of 19:33...Competed in the open division of the Notre Dame Invitational, finishing 17th overall with a personal best 5K time of 18:53...Finished first for the Illini at the Bradley Classic with a 6K time of 22:41...Placed third for the Orange and Blue at the Illini Open with a 5K time of 19:00.

2007 - Sophomore: Finished 12th for the Illini at the Illinois Intercollegiate meet with a time of 19:33 in her first race for the Fighting Illini.

All-Conference in track for four years...All-conference in cross country in 2004 and 2005...Holds the school record in the 300m low hurdles.

Daughter of Ron Thompson and Tammy Marks...Born Sept. 9, 1987...Has three siblings, Tiffany, Jacquelyn, and Zack...Her biggest thrill in sports was placing second at sectionals in the 300 hurdles her senior year...High school coach Connie Harre-Blair and best friend Bethany Kirkpatrick most influenced her athletic career...Majoring in kinesiology.
