AT ILLINOIS:
2003:
Placed 19th at the NCAA Regionals, helping lead the Illini to a third place team finish, running a season-best time of 22:04 … Was the Illini’s fourth scorer at the Big Ten Championships, finishing the 6K course in 22:30.6 … Placed fourth at the 5K Missouri Cross Country Challenge, with a time of 18:33.56 … Was the Fighting Illini’s fifth scorer at the Spartan Open, finishing the 6K course in 22:36.5 … Ran 22:12 at the 6K Cowboy Jamboree … Finished ninth at the Pack-It-Up Illini Challenge, completing the 5K course in a career-best time of 18:13.
2002:
Ran in three meets for the Illini…Was the 2nd scorer as the Illini placed 2nd in the Great American Invitational hosted by Purdue. . . Also participated in the Pre-Midwest District Invitational and the Big Ten Championship
2001:
Ran a season-best 5,000 meter time of 18:36.6 at the Big Ten Championships ... Was the team's second scorer at the NCAA Midwest Regional where she ran a 6,000 meter time of 22:23.5
High School:
Three-time Class AA all-state performer in cross country ... Best finish was sixth as a junior in 1999 ... Won both the regional and sectional titles as a junior in 1999 ... Was a three-time state qualifier on the track ... Qualified for the state meet in the two miles as a freshman and sophomore and was a half-mile qualifier as a senior.

The daughter of Bruce and Jo Ellen Kelley Simpson ... Majoring in graphic design ... Mother was a swimmer at Iowa State and her uncle Tim Kelly played football at Missouri.
