Amy Palash played a big role in two victories last weekend.

This past weekend we finally became champions as we won the State Farm Illini Classic. However, this was under some interesting circumstances, as Kylie and Alde were both out for the duration of the tournament. Having Kylie (my roommate and self-proclaimed "funniest person ever") and Alde (with her amazing MC Hammer impersonations) out for the weekend was tough.
As a result, this was truly a team victory and everyone really pulled together for these wins. Laura did a great job again on the outside, and she has really become a consistent player for us. She also knows how to "bust a move", as we learned during our pre-game dance party in the locker room.
With our last two preseason games in sight, we're looking forward to making some additional gains as Big Ten season approaches.
