Hello again! This was another very eventful week for our team, as we have reached the end of preseason. Don't get me wrong, two practices a day is fun, but I don't think we'll miss it too much!
As a team, we really put in a lot of work last week and made great strides individually and as a group. The alumni match was a great way for us to measure what we've accomplished so far, as well as show us what else there is to work on. The team loved having all the alumni support and the freshman got a glimpse into the very special Huff Hall atmosphere.
On Sunday, we had a few opportunities to really experience our family atmosphere. First, we went to the Networkers picnic at the Wright's cabin. As always, it was a great time. You can't argue with amazing food and good company! We also got to compete in the traditional "Olympics", which include six games that test skill and strategy. A champion is always crowned, and my team did happen to bring home the gold this year!
After the picnic, we went to Fan Appreciation Day to sign autographs and hang out with our amazing fans. Overall, Sunday was a really great day for our team. It was really amazing to be able to spend time with some of the people that continually support us, both on and off the court. We truly appreciate all of you!
Our Dayton tournament is this weekend, which is guaranteed to be a very competitive three games and a true test for us a team. After all these practices, we can't wait!
