Illini Volleyball Accepts the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Champaign, Ill. - Many members of the Illini volleyball community have opted to take part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, a social media campaign that has spread like wildfire to promote awarness for amyotrphic lateral sclerois (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Through this viral video campaign, people all over the world have learned about the debilitating disease and donated an unprecedented amount of money to the cause.
