Champaign, Ill. - The Illinois volleyball team will play five scheduled matches live on the Big Ten Network in 2013, with the potential to pick up additional matches in November and in the NCAA Tournament. Illinois is one of four Big Ten teams with a conference-best five BTN matches on the advance schedule, with Penn State being the only team to schedule more than five televised matches prior to the season (five BTN, two ESPN2).

The Fighting Illini will hit screens for the first time on Saturday, Sept. 28, when they host Nebraska on BTN at 4 p.m. On Friday, Oct. 18, the Big Ten Network will broadcast Penn State's trip to Huff Hall, and on Wednesday, Nov. 6, BTN has picked up Illinois' home match against Michigan.

Illinois will have two away matches broadcast on the Big Ten Network as well. When the Illini travel to Ann Arbor on Oct. 5, BTN to will broadcast the showdown with the Wolverines. Due to it being Michigan's homecoming weekend, that match's start time is still TBD. Illinois' trip to Lincoln will also be shown on national TV, when the Illini seek to hand the Huskers a rare loss at the Devaney Center.

In addition to its televised matches, the majority of the remainder of Illinois' matches will be streamed live online.  Illinois will host Ohio State (Oct. 20) and Michigan State (Nov. 9) on the Big Ten Digital Network (Student U), with seven additional home matches airing on Fighting Illini All-Access, with play by play from WDWS's Dave Loane. Many of the Illini's road matches will also be streamed live. Visit the Illinois schedule for more details and for streaming links as they become available.

In order to watch streaming matches or listen to online radio broadcasts, fans must purchase either a monthly or annual subscription. There are two main options for subscribers, Illinois or Big Ten. The Illinois subscription allows users to watch all Illinois events on either All-Access or BTDN, which includes Big Ten away events, while the Big Ten subscription offers access to all streaming events for all Big Ten teams.
