Two-sport athlete, played weakside hitter and setter in high school at Bureau Valley (coached by Chris Olds) • Named to the News-Gazette Superior Mention Team. • Bureau Valley Storm advanced to the state Supersectional. • Named to the Illinois Prep Times All-State Team in track (coached by Dale Donner and Don Guier) in 2000 after running for the state's third place 3200-meter team • Also placed ninth in the 3200-meter relay at state in 2001 • Named First Team All-Region in volleyball at Parkland College (coached by Joana Ramsey) in 2003 and was named the CCCI Player of the Year • Parkland won the CCCI title and finished runner-up in the region. • Played for IVVP Club Team (coached by Laurie Polte) from 1998-2002.

Born April 28, 1984 • Daugher of Larry and Sandy Meyer • Enjoys reading, skiing, and shopping • Member of Phi Theta Kappa, National Honor Society in high school, serving as the organization's Vice President in 2001-02 • President of the Varsity Club • Made the Dean's List at Tennessee Tech and at Parkland College • Plans to major in science and human nutrition with plans to become a dietician

Favorite Sports Thrill: "Super Saturday" at Bureau Valley (Nov. 3, 2001), where the Storm's cross country boys team placed second at State, the football team won its second round playoff game and the volleyball team played in the supersectional.
