    2006 Highlights
    • Ranked sixth nationally and led the Big Ten in assists per game (13.64) • Totaled 129 assists in three matches at the State Farm Illini Classic, while the team hit .478 off of her sets • Set a season-high assist outing against Indiana, dishing out 66 on the night in a 3-1 Illini victory • Had seven double-doubles on the season, including a 63 assist and 13 dig performance in Illinois' win over Iowa on Nov. 3 • Named to the all-tournament team at the Marquette Kickoff Tournament • Named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 2 • Named Academic Third Team Academic All-District • Broke her hand and missed the final two weeks of the season.

    2005 Highlights
    Converted to right-side hitter in the absence of Rasa Virsilaite • Became Illinois' full-time setter Oct. 7 at Michigan • Recorded 29 assists in two games against Illinois State • Posted a career-high four kills in matches against Rice and Michigan State • Recorded a career-high in digs (17) while serving three aces in a five-game loss to Northwestern • Set for a career-high in assists (66) in a five-game victory over Michigan State • Served a career-high in aces (5) while setting up 58 assists in a four-game loss to Minnesota • Topped her career-high in assists as she recorded 68 in a five-game victory against Purdue • Led the Illini in service aces in nine different matches. • Led the team in block assists (6) in a victory over Purdue • Had 65 assists and a career-high 20 digs at Iowa.

    HIGH SCHOOL
    Unanimous First Team All-DuPage Valley Conference setter for Naperville North, who went undefeated in winning the DVC title • A multi-dimensional player with 75 kills, 27 blocks, 104 digs, and 83 aces in addition to her 908 assists. • Player of the Year by the Naperville Sun and to the DuPage Daily Herald and Chicago Sun-Times All-Area teams. • The Huskies won the regional and sectional tournaments before falling to Downers Grove South in the Supersectional in an exciting three-game match • The Huskies' season also included winning the Lake Park Invite and placing third at the West Aurora Invite, both events where Bazzetta was named to the All-Tournament Team. • High School coach was Jen Scarpino • Played for Club Elite and was the captain for the Sports Performance team (coached by Rick Butler) in 2004 • Played for Sports Performance 18-Red (coached by Larry Kahl) in 2004-05 • Earned All-America at AAU Nationals and was named to the All-Tournament team at the USAV Nationals • • Posted 151 kills, 64 blocks, 658 digs, 2066 assists and 184 aces and hit .481 during the 2004-05 club season • The Sports Performance 18-Red placed first in the Big South Qualifier and the Lone Star Tournament and second at the AAU Nationals.

    Born July 5, 1986 • Daughter of Bob and Mary Jean Bazzetta • Majoring in biological studies • Continues a family tradition of attending and playing volleyball at Illinois. Sister, Kathleen, was a four-year regular at defensive specialist, following aunts Kathleen and Eileen Gartland, who played volleyball for the Illini in the 1970s • Parents Bob and Mary Jean Bazzetta and several family members also attended Illinois. • Member of National Honor Society • PE Leader • First Class Leader.
