    CHARLESTON, Ill. - Freshman Stacy Hague won the 5,000m run as a small contingency of Illinois women's track and field distance runners competed at Eastern Illinois' Big Blue Classic this weekend.

    Hague timed 18 minutes, 14.35 seconds in the 5,000m to pace Illinois and win her first career event on the track. Other Illini in action included freshman Kate Tysse and sophomore Ashley Thompson tying for fourth in the 1,500m with times of 4:50.10 and Elizabeth Boyle taking fifth in the 5,000m with a time of 18:27.49.

    Illinois' full squad will be in action next weekend competing at the Sun Angel Track Classic on Saturday, April 12 in Tempe, Ariz.
