URBANA, Ill. - The Illini women's tennis team will close out its fall season at the Harvard Invitational from Nov. 8-10. Head coach Michelle Dasso and assistant coach Ric Mortera will travel with four players to Boston for the four-team tournament. Each of the three days will open with a doubles round followed by two rounds of singles matches.

For the Illini, Emily Barretta, Jerricka Boone, Julia Jamieson and Louise Kwong are making the flight to Boston with Dasso and Mortera. All four players picked up at least one singles win this past weekend at the Midwest Blast, hosted by Illinois at the Atkins Tennis Center. Along with Illinois, Harvard is hosting Brown and Boston University in the three-day tournament.

Barretta has gone 4-3 this fall. In her most recent match, Barretta faced five match points before winning a tiebreak and subsequent super-tiebreak third set to steal a match from Wake Forest's Brigita Bercyte, 0-6, 7-6 (6), 10-4. Boone started her fall 1-2 in singles action but bounced back to win her last two singles matches at the Midwest Blast. Jamieson and Kwong teamed to sweep all three doubles matches they played together at the Midwest Blast. Kwong improved to a team-best 6-1 in doubles, while Jamieson is 5-1.
