2006 Big 10 Women's Tennis - Facilities

The Atkins Tennis Center will serve as the host site for the 2006 Big Ten Women's Tennis Championship. Located at 1800 South Wright Street in Urbana, the Atkins Tennis Center houses six indoor courts, a pro shop, training room, men's and women's locker rooms and separate public locker rooms within its 58,000 square feet of space. Eight outdoor courts are also located just West of the building. All 8 courts are lighted and have a plexi-pave surface.

The Illini Grove Tennis Courts will also be used for the first two days of competition. Located at the corner of Dorner Drive and Pennsylvania Avenue, just West of Lincoln Avenue, the Illini Grove Tennis Courts consist of nine outdoor plexi-pave courts.

In case of inclement weather, those matches taking place at the Atkins Tennis Center outdoor courts will move to the Atkins Tennis Center indoor courts. Those matches taking place at the Illini Grove Tennis Courts will move to the six plexi-pave indoor courts located at the Champaign Park District Indoor Tennis Center. The Center is located at 2802 Farber Road in Champaign.
