URBANA, Ill. - The Fighting Illini women's tennis team will be hosting a clinic this Saturday, May 8 for children with autism. The event will take place at Atkins Tennis Center in Urbana from 2-3 p.m. The team will assist in various games and drills and look forward to making it a unique and enjoyable experience.
"I have two beautiful nephews who are autistic so this is a very special cause for my family," head coach Michelle Dasso said. "This event is something that I would like to continue and grow in the years to come, and my hope is that the kids have a wonderful time."
The Illini return to action next Friday, May 14 for the first round of the NCAA Championships against Nebraska at 1 p.m. at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.
