Freshman Kristina Minor

March 20, 2007
In the fourth edition of the Illini Big Ten journal, freshman Kristina Minor keeps you abreast of the Illini's journey and travels through the Lone Star State.
Spring Break is officially underway, and it has been a blast already. Our game of Egyptian Ratscrew got a little violent in the airport (it is a card-game that involves everyone slapping a pile of cards at once), but it was all in good fun. Long trips are always a great time for team-bonding, which usually consists of poking fun at each other, telling stories, telling jokes and of course singing obnoxiously in the car.
Now, usually we give Dave the hardest time simply because he's usually the only guy in the group. But now, Matt, our trainer and newest edition to the road-trip crew, is on the receiving end of most jokes, and Dave gets a little break.
The team had a tough break against to start off the trip Houston, but we all did get some great tan-lines. Despite the setback, we'll be ready to take down the Texas Longhorns on Wednesday!
With a little driving (many times getting lost), a little tennis, a little sleep and a lot of laughs, there is never a dull moment on this team!
Until Next time,
Kristina Minor ... GO ILLINI!
