CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The No. 33 Illinois women's tennis team continues its road swing this weekend as it heads north to face the Marquette Golden Eagles on Feb. 28 at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium in Milwaukee, Wis. Match time is set for 11 a.m. CT. The Orange and Blue are 7-2 and hold a five-match winning streak heading into the match, after earning victories over Harvard and Boston College last weekend.
"We had a successful road-trip last weekend and look to carry that momentum into this Saturday's match," head coach Michelle Dasso said, "With each match, the girls are gaining more confidence and the timing couldn't be better as we begin our conference season next weekend at home."

FUDGE WITH A CHERRY ON TOP
Junior Megan Fudge has started out the season on an impressive streak. The Kaarst, Germany, native is currently 9-0 in dual matches, heading into the weekend. Fudge has compiled a 15-4 overall record for the 2008-09 season, inching closer to having her third consecutive season with 20+ wins.
ILLINOIS VS. MARQUETTE
The Orange and Blue have faced the Golden Eagles nine times, with an all-time record of 8-1. Last year when the two teams faced off, the Illini downed the Eagles 5-2 in front of the home crowd at the Atkins Tennis Center.
MARQUETTE PREVIEW
Marquette is currently 10-4 on the season with a two-match winning streak. The Golden Eagles are undefeated in Big East play, gathering wins against Rutgers, Villanova, and Louisville. Marquette is a young team composed of three freshmen, three sophomores, two juniors and one senior. Freshman Olga Fischer has had an impressive debut college season and is currently on a ten-match win streak in singles.
