    • Went 12-5 in four professional tournaments, earning her first 4 1/2 WTA points and a 973 world ranking
    • Won 2002 ITA national summer circuit doubles championship with her sister, Katie, who plays at Wisconsin
    • Won ITA Midwest Regional doubles championship along with Michelle Webb; qualified for ITA National Indoors
    • Made the NCAA Tournament field; reached Round of 16 in doubles with Webb
    • She and Webb set the Illinois record for most doubles wins in a season: 31
    • Won the team's Fighting Illini Spirit award
    • Top singles win came against 15th-ranked Amanda Johnson in Illinois' upset of No. 1-ranked Duke
    • Top doubles win came with Michelle Webb against 5th-ranked Melissa Schaub and Vilmarie Castellvi of Tennessee in the Round of 32 at the NCAA Doubles


    • Won 2001 ITA summer circuit national singles championship, as well as tournament titles at Michigan and Ohio State
    • Competed in ITA All-American tournament where she topped 12th ranked Anne Nguyen of Georgia, 6-4, 6-7 (2), 7-6 (3)
    • Qualified for the NCAA tournament, becoming the first Illini to do so since Lindsey Nimmo in 1993
    • Nationally ranked in singles throughout the year, ascending as high as No. 38 and finishing the year at No. 57
    • Played at No. 1 singles, compiling 24-16 overall record while going 6-4 in Big Ten play
    • Registered a 6-4, 6-2 decision over Janet Bergman of Wake Forest who was ranked 12th nationally
    • Competed at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles and finished 17-16 overall and 6-5 in Big Ten matches
    • Ended the campaign ranked 2nd regionally in singles
    • Reached quarterfinals of Milwaukee Tennis Classic
    • Earned All-Big Ten honors for the second year in a row
    • Collected George Huff award for athletic and academic excellence

    • Soon before arriving at Illinois, she played with current teammate Michelle Webb and won the doubles title at the Indiana University summer circuit tournament
    • Reached the singles finals of both the University of Michigan and Ohio State University 2000 summer circuit tournaments
    • She and classmate Tiffany Eklov tied for the team lead with 10 singles wins in the fall (both had 10-5 marks)
    • Posted a 7-5 fall doubles record
    • Made it to the main draw singles final at the season-opening New Mexico Invitational
    • Took third place in the main draw singles at the Midwest Blast in Champaign
    • All-time winningest UI freshman with 30 singles victories (30-18 record); holds the No. 4 spot on the all-time Illini single-season wins list
    • Ranked as high as No. 80 nationally in singles
    • Competed with six different partners to post a 27-15 doubles mark
    • Illinois' first Big Ten Freshman of the Year
    • Illinois' first freshman to earn All-Big Ten honors
    • Picked as the ITA Region IV Rookie of the Year
    • Voted team MVP and also the Player to Watch
    • Chosen the UI Female Co-Newcomer of the Year along with track star Susanna Kallur


    • Ranked No. 1 in Missouri Valley area in 1998-99 (Girls' 18's)
    • Won state doubles title with sister, Katie, in 1999
    • Won state doubles title with sister, Laura, in 2000
    • Helped high school team to four consecutive state titles
    • Ranked as high as No. 38 in the nation as a junior
