Sophomore 2005-06
Top Illini singles player, finishing the season ranked No. 71 by the ITA...Finished the season with a 19-15 overall singles record, and a 17-18 doubles mark... Teamed with Emily Wang to upset the No. 2 tandem of Christian Thompson/Catrina Thompson of Notre Dame 8-4...Also paired with Wang to take down the then No. 14-ranked pair from Ole Miss, Virginia Tomatis/Ilona Somers 9-8(4)...Garnered a selection as the eighth alternate for the 2006 NCAA singles tournament...Won her first eight Big Ten singles matches, all at the No. 1 position...Went 9-3 in conference singles duals in the top slot, and 9-13 in conference doubles action...During that streak, she handed Northwestern All-American Cristelle Grier her first conference loss in 44 matches...Named to the All-Big Ten team...garnered Player of the Week honors twice...Upset two ITA top-10 opponents on the season...Finalist for the Dike Eddleman Athlete of the Year award...Voted MVP and Most Improved Player by the Illini women's squad for 2006.
