Played at Nos. 3 and 4 singles, posting an 18-16 overall record (5-6 in Big Ten play)
Biggest win was a come-from-behind 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory over Leigh Ann Merryman of Penn State; the win was the match-clincher, giving the Illini a 4-3 victory, its first on the road
Earned Academic All-Big Ten honors
Went 11-20 in doubles matches and 4-6 in the Big Ten, while playing mostly at No. 2
2000-01:
Graduated from high school at mid-year and joined the Fighting Illini at the beginning of the spring semester
