What are you hoping for this Christmas or what has been your favorite present in the past?
Junior Mallory Craft, Back/Fly: I always hope in the back of my mind to get a bulldog puppy - I think they're adorable! - but since I know I won't be getting one, I'm hoping for lots of good food and being able to enjoy time with my family and friends from home.Senior Meghan Farrell, Free/Back: This year I am just hoping to spend as much time with my friends as possible. Most of my friends went to school out of state (Iowa, Georgia, New York...) and I do not get to see them much during the year, so I always try and spend as much time with them as I can when we are all home.

Freshman Bailey Hatch, Breast/Free: For Christmas this year I told my mom that I wanted socks. Half of mine have either magically disappeared in my room or in the dryers in the basement of Scott Hall.
Freshman Cece Marizu, Back/IM: My favorite Christmas present in the past was probably my trip to Africa in the fifth grade. It was my first time going to Nigeria, and I met all of my dad's side of the family. Besides the trip there, I really went to value what Christmas is about. Unlike America where everything is commercialized, people actually value their family and don't think about what they could possibly be getting. There are so many other things to worry about in life.
Freshman Courtney Spivak, Free/Fly: This Christmas I am hoping for some new Puma shoes. I love shoes and new Pumas would be a really exciting gift for me! My favorite Christmas gift in the past was probably my Barbie dream house when I was little. I remember being really excited about that one!
Sophomore Katie Theissen, Free/Back/IM: My favorite gift of the past was when I received a watch that could take pictures from my grandpa when I was 11 or so. I thought it was the coolest thing. I only used it once or twice though.
Do you have any New Year's Resolutions?
Senior Jackie Bain, Diving: I haven't decided yet, but possibly cutting down on my Diet Coke intake.Freshman Morgan Gilman, Fly Back: I'm not really good at resolutions, but this year I am going to try to take more time for myself to relax so that I don't get stressed out.
Senior Jessica Rothenberg, IM/Breast/Fly: To have more balance in my life. I tend to spend so much focusing on school that I leave little time for my friends or for myself. It has been a long-term goal of mine that I have been working on.
Sophomore Lindsey Shirley, Free/Fly/IM: I can't make New Year's Resolutions because I will break them within the first month of that year, especially if they are something like eating less junk food. That will never happen.
Senior Barbie Viney, Free/Fly: My New Year's Resolution would have to be to count my blessings when I am feeling down and not to let things I can't control get the best of me, in the swimming and non-swimming world.
