The Illini will look to continue their recent road success, including flaming the 10ma Copa Coqui Invitational victory on Jan. 7 in Puerto Rico.

The fighting Illini swimming and diving team will travel to Iowa for a tough slate of competition this Friday and Saturday. In the first of two meets this weekend, the Orange and Blue (5-2-1) will travel to Ames, Iowa to face Iowa State (3-2-1) Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. CT.
In their last meeting, the Illini dominated Iowa State at home last season claiming 12 event victories on their way to a 194-106 victory. The talented duo of Alison Meng and Courtney Pope led the Illini in last season's meet with the Cyclones, combining for three individual event victories and both relay victories.
IOWA TRIPLE DUAL
The Illini will also compete in the Iowa Triple Dual Meet Saturday morning at 11 a.m. CT to face Iowa (5-2), Indiana (3-3) and Missouri (3-4). The Illini will face a ranked opponent for the first time this season as they look to upset 11th ranked Indiana and 21st ranked Missouri. The Illini also fell to Iowa at home last season 196-102.
COACH NOVITSKY ON THE WEEKEND
"The next two days will provide us with some challenging competition, head coach Sue Novitsky said. "We are going to have the opportunity to compete against some really strong teams. The coaches are looking for some breakout performances. We want to see the team compete beyond any perceived limitations and be aggressive in their events and be tough.

LAST TIME OUT
The Illini is coming off a late rally in their last meet, where they tied Rutgers, 150-150, on Jan. 10 at home. Illinois claimed the top two spots in the final event of the evening, the 400-free relay, to secure the tie.
The Illini will return home for the last time this season Monday Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. as they host Southern Illinois and Olivet Nazarene for Splash Bash.
