COLUMBUS, Ohio - Five Fighting Illini swimmers competed in the Last Chance Meet Sunday afternoon in Columbus, Ohio, to close out the regular season. Freshman Kathleen Knight led the way, posting two lifetime-best times in the 100 (57.56) and 200 butterfly (2:07.66).

Lifetime bests also were recorded by junior Meghan Mason in the 100 butterfly (58.69) and sophomore Michelle Mehnert in the 100 freestyle (54.58). Additionally, freshman Alyssa Petruzzello placed sixth in the 100 butterfly (56.45) and sophomore Rachel Japp finished in seventh place in the 100 breastroke (1:05.22).

Next up, divers Britni Fisher and Tessa Adams will head to the NCAA Zone Diving Championships, March 12-14 in West Lafayette, Ind.
