Going into this weekend was a very exciting feeling to be able to play the #1 team in the nation. We had a great week of practice and we couldn't wait to bring it all out on the field!
The teams - FIU, Alabama, and UConn - were very competetive teams and had shown us our strengths and weaknesses we have to still work on. Even though we came out 3-2 on the weekend, I feel we accomplished and realized many things for our future success. These ranked teams are not that far away from our reach, and I know that we will be right there head to head with them if not already. As Coach Sullivan says, play every team as if it was a championship game because every team out there is good and you can't back down for one second thinking they are weak. It was like our last game on Sunday when we played FIU. The first time we played them, we mercy ruled them, but then the second game we played them, they were a whole different team and gave us a great game. That opened my eyes a little bit more to realize never back down at any moment in the game or even at practice!
One of our goals is Big Ten Champs, and we are getting closer and closer every day!
