Getterman first day cancelled

Waco, Texas - The first day of the 2006 Getterman Classic softball tournament has been cancelled due to steady rain. The event hosted by Baylor University features the host Bears, Illinois, Tulsa and Wichita State. The tournament will resume on Saturday with the regular scheduled games. Friday's contests will not be made up.
The forecast for Saturday is for cloudy skies and a high of 57 and for Sunday calls for sunny skies and a high of 63. Illinois meets Tulsa at 10 a.m. and Baylor at 3 p.m. on Saturday and plays Wichita State at 9 a.m. and Tulsa at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
