High School: All-Western Illinois Valley performer four straight years • Played on Carrolton team that advanced to the state finals three of the last four years, including a runner-up state finish in 2002 • Played first base and pitcher • Team won the WIVC title each of the four years she played. • Named to the All State Third team in 2001 and 2002 • Earned the 2002 Pitcher of the Year award from the Sports Page. • Academic All-WIVC honoree. • Earned all-area accolades from the Jacksonville Journal-Courier and the Alton Telegraph.• Coached by Laura Blade • Posted 120 strikeouts in 19 games and 108 innings pitched as a senior. Had an ERA of 0.29 as a junior and 0.26 as a senior, giving up just four earned runs each season. • Tossed 13 shutouts combined as a junior and senior. • Batted .416 with nine doubles, three triples, three home runs and 37 RBI as a senior after batting .298 with six doubles, four triples, and 33 RBI as a junior • Played back row and earned academic all-conference recognition for the Hawk volleyball team (coached by Heather Houseman), which won regional titles in 1998, 1999 and 2000. • Also played golf (coached by Dave Davis).
