2006 Highlights
Won the Team's Gold Glove Award at On-Deck Circle Banquet.
Started all 55 games this season at second base.
Was one of the reasons Illinois has had a big improvement in fielding -- has a .962 fielding percentage, playing one of the toughest positions to have a high fielding percentage. By contrast, Katie O'Connell, four-year starter, had a .950 average during her freshman year.
Had two hits vs. No. 12 Oregon State.
Batting in the No. 9 spot, had the capability to get on base ahead of the Big Five in the Illini order.
Had two three-hit games on the season -- vs. Fordham and Loyola.
High School:
Earned Super State and All-State honors her senior year while leading her team to a fifth place finish in State. Placed third at State her junior year. Runner-up at State her freshman and sophomore years. All-Conference selection her freshman year. Played for the Omaha Echoes Renegades this summer and batted .416 with 17 RBI's.

Born April 4, 1987 Daughter of Daryl and Polly Hoogeveen Has a younger sister, Kelly. Enjoys watching movies, playing sand volleyball and playing with her dog Enrolled in college of LAS Won the Women in excellence award
