Named Chicago Sun-Times Underclassman All-Star as a junior • Earned all-Southwest Suburban Conference and All-area honors as a shortstop under coach Jim Fabianski • Led Sandburg to the conference championship and a third-place finish in the 2006 IHSA State Tournament • Named all-conference and all-area honorable mention as a sophomore catcher • Batted .331 with seven doubles, one home run and 14 RBI as junior shortstop • Also played for the Orland Park A's and Beverly Bandits, coached by Bill Conroy.
