CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Junior goalkeeper Alexandra Kapicka earned Big Ten All-Tournament Team honors following her stellar performance in Illinois' quarterfinal game against Michigan State. Kapicka tallied five saves and held the Spartans scoreless through 110 minutes of play to collect her eighth shutout of the season.

Since stepping into the starting role between the posts this season, Kapicka has been outstanding. Her 0.73 goals against average this year is the second lowest in school history. The Arlington Heights, Ill., native has allowed just 15 goals on the year, which also ranks as the second fewest in the school record book.

Kapicka and the Illini await the announcement of the NCAA Tournament bracket, scheduled for this evening. The selection of the 64-team field will air live on ESPNews between 7-7:30 p.m. (CT).
