CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Senior defender Emily Zurrer earned Soccer Buzz and Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week honors following her performance in Illinois' 1-0 win over Purdue. With the pair of awards, Zurrer has collected weekly honors eight times this season.

Zurrer notched the game-winning goal against the Boilermakers in the 27th minute for her fourth goal of the season, tying her career high. It marked her third game-winner this year, the most in her career. The Vancouver, B.C., native also played a critical role in producing Illinois' seventh shutout this season and 14th in the last 16 games at home.

Zurrer and the Illini return to action on Thursday in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament in Iowa City, Iowa. The fifth-seeded Illini will take on the No. 4 seed Michigan State Spartans at 7 p.m.
