CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Following Saturday night's 6 p.m. game against Wisconsin, kids eighth grade and under will have a unique opportunity to play a post-game match against the University of Illinois women's soccer team. The first 100 kids who turn in a completed registration form to the Marketing Table before the game will receive a free t-shirt to wear during the game. Gates open at 5 p.m. and admission and parking are both free.
After the first 100 entries are accepted, kids who sign up will be able to participate in the event when substitutions are made. The event will allow all kids a chance to play on the field at the Illinois Soccer Stadium after watching the Big Ten showdown between the Illini and Badgers. Every kid who plays will receive a free Illinois soccer poster.
Due to Saturday street closures from First Street to Fourth Street on Kirby Avenue, fans coming to the Illinois Soccer Stadium from the west will be required to follow a different route. Fans can take St. Mary's Road east to Lincoln Avenue, where they can turn left and head north until the intersection with Florida Avenue. They can turn left on Florida Avenue and head west until they reach the entrance of Lot 42 for free soccer game day parking.
