    Zurrer Makes Herself At Home
    Senior defender Emily Zurrer wasted no time making herself at home as she notched the game-winning goal in Illinois 1-0 win over Dayton in her first back since returning from the Olympics in Beijing. Zurrer earned Soccer America Team of the Week honors for heading in the golden goal in the championship game of the Illini Challenge Cup.

    Home Sweet Home
    Illinois continued its dominance at home over the weekend, extending the unbeaten streak to nine in a row at the Illinois Soccer and Track Stadium. The Illini have produced eight shutouts and allowed just one goal during the span.

    Nweke Wins Again
    Junior forward Chichi Nweke made it two games in a row with a goal and an assist, as she again notched the game-winner in Illinois' 3-1 victory over Iowa State. She leads the team with six points on the season.

    Spreading the Wealth
    Illinois has already gotten goals from five different Illini this season. The offensive production has come from all three positions as well, with forwards Nweke and Charlotte Cooke accounting for three goals, midfielders Marti Desjarlais and Courtney Bell adding a pair of goals and Zurrer rounding out the count with one goal from the defense.

    Continuing The Climb
    With the Illini off to their best start since 2004, Illinois has continued to climb in the national polls. Illinois' biggest move cam in the Soccer Buzz poll, where the Illini jumped from No. 19 to No. 11. The Orange and Blue moved up three spots to No. 15 in the NSCAA poll, while moving from No. 17 to 13 according to Soccer America and from No. 20 to 18 in the Top Drawer Soccer poll.

    Washington State At a Glance
    The Washington State Cougars are unbeaten through their first three games, winning their opener against Montana before tying in back-to-back matches with James Madison and William and Mary. Three different Cougars have notched goals, including Kiersten Dallstream, Emma Stolz and Ali Fenter.

    Tennessee at a Glance
    The Tennessee Lady Vols opened the season with a tough stretch, winning their opener against Chattanooga before dropping back-to-back matches to Indiana and North Carolina. Kylee Rossi leads the way for Tennessee with two goals, while three other Vols have a goal apiece.

    A Quick Recap
    Illinois continued its winning ways with a pair of victories to capture the Illini Challenge Cup championship. Three different Illini tallied goals in the 3-1 win over Iowa State, with Nweke notching the game-winner. The Orange and Blue squared off against Dayton in the championship game and after ending regulation in a scoreless draw, Zurrer headed in the golden goal on a free kick from sophomore defender Danielle Kot in the 96th minute for the 1-0 victory.
