The University of Illinois women's soccer team will travel to Chicago on Saturday to participate in the Chicago SCORES College Cup. The Illini face Wisconsin at 11:45 a.m. and square off against Wisconsin-Milwaukee at 4 p.m.
Chicago SCORES is a not-for-profit after-school program for urban youth on the west side of Chicago. It serves over 200 students, using soccer and poetry to enrich the children's lives.
Illinois defeated Wisconsin 3-2 in double-overtime during the 2005 season and finished in a scoreless tie with Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the Illini's second match of the season.
After this upcoming tournament, Illinois has a weekend off before facing Kentucky in Carmel, Ind., on April 22. The Illini finish their spring schedule with a match against the Mexican National Team in South Bend, Ind., on April 26.
