    Freshman header in second half propels Illini to road victory - 9/4/98

    The University of Illinois women's soccer team opened its second season in style Friday by earning a close 1-0 win at Illinois State. Freshman Lisa Baldwin scored the lone goal in the second half on a header as the Illini won their season opener for the second straight year.

    Illinois returns to action on Sunday, September 6, when they host Quincy at the Multiplex at noon.
