    2013 - Sophomore: Made 22 starts and played in all 23 games ... Scored the second penalty kick in the 3-1 PK shootout victory at Washington State that sent the Illini to the second round of the NCAA Tournament ... Scored only goal on a penalty kick vs. Wisconsin (10/12) ... Assisted on the game-winning goal at Minnesota (10/31) that clinched a berth into the Big Ten Tournament ... Had an assist vs. Nebraska (9/29) ... Named to the Sun Devil Classic All-Tournament Team ... Was a central player in the Illini midfield and totaled over 2,000 minutes ...     Three-time Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association Dream Team selection ... Was a Division-I State Champion with Portage Central High School as a freshman in 2009 ... Selected as a captain to lead Portage in the spring of 2012 ... Played club soccer with the Michigan Hawks, earning the ECNL National Championship in June 2012 and a regional championship in 2010 ... Michigan and Region II ODP team member from 2005-10, leading the team to appearances in state, inter-regional and international tournaments as well as to the ODP National Championships ... 2010 ECNL Winter Showcase All-Event Team ... Peterson's brother, Jacob, plays professional soccer for Sporting Kansas City (MLS) following an All-American collegiate career at Indiana University where he won NCAA National Championships in 2003-04.
