Coach Rayfield on Kapicka: "The 2008 campaign was a breakout season for Alex. She exceeded the expectations of people outside the program, but I believe she lived up to the standards she helped to establish and set for herself and the program. Her success was the direct result of her commitment to her own development and to doing everything she could to help this team succeed. The pressure of 2008 came from being the only goalkeeper and knowing she had to get things done. In 2009, the training environment changes and she will have the challenge of other goalkeepers to help drive her development even more. She now enters the year with confidence, with experience and with a competitive training environment. With all that, great things should lie ahead!"
