2008 - Senior: Earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week and Soccer America Team of the Week honors after win at Missouri • Has started 20 matches at center back • Registered shots against UCF, Washington and Northwestern • Recorded one shot in Big Ten Tournament against Michigan State.

2007 - Junior: Played in seven matches, starting one • Played the full 90 minutes against Cal State Northridge • Earned Academic All-Big Ten Honors.

2006 - Sophomore: Played in nine matches, starting two • Fired two shots on the season • Started at Michigan and Michigan State, playing the full 90 minutes at MSU.

2005 - Freshman: Played in 14 matches on the season • Took three shots, two on goal • Logged 27 minutes in her first career game against Marquette • Played 25 minutes in a 3-0 victory over Western Illinois • Had one shot against Illinois State • Played 45 minutes and had a shot on goal against Indiana State • Saw her first career Big Ten action in the opener against Northwestern • Played 23 minutes and had a shot in a 0-0 draw with Michigan State.

High School/Club: 2004 Los Alamitos Most Valuable Defensive Player and Sunset League Most Valuable Defensive Player • First-team All-Sunset League and second-team All-CIF in 2003 • Named to Long Beach Press Telegram Dream Team in 2003 and 2004 • Led prep team to 2004 Sunset League title • Slammer G '87 team captain • Led club team to a Far West Regional title, a Jefferson Cup championship and Cal South GU-16 State Championship in 2004 • Team also advanced to the final match of the USYSA GU-16 National Championship that same year • 2003 California State GU-16 Premier Champion • Part of club team that captured USYSA national title in 2002 • Named to the Los Angeles Times All-Star and Orange County Register All-County teams • High school coach was Pat Rossi • Club coach was Walid Khoury.

Also, the school is prestigious and in a location that is different from what I've always known, so I'm excited to experience something new.

Coach Rayfield on Alvis: "Jamie Alvis heads into her senior season knowing that she is ready to be called on for whatever role she may need to fill during the fall campaign. She has the ability to step in as a centerback or as a defensive central midfielder and utilize her ball-winning ability on the defensive side and her service ability on the attacking side. The value that Jamie has brought and continues to bring to this program extends far beyond what she does on the field. Her training mentality, dedication to this program and commitment to our team goals will set a standard for each member of this 2008 team."
