Chicago, Ill. - The Big Ten Network has released plans to cover four men's and eight women's regular season gymnastics events during the 2008 season. The coverage concludes with Big Ten Championships from Ann Arbor, Mich. (women), and State College, Pa. (men).

Yoshi Hayasaki's eighth-ranked Illinois men's team competes at Minnesota on March 21 against both the host Gophers and the Iowa Hawkeyes. The event will be shown on a taped delayed basis on March 24 at 7 p.m.

Coach Bob Starkell's Illini women's gymnastics squad continues its rise up the national ladder, checking in at No. 23 in the pre-season rankings. His club will make two regular season appearances on BTN. A match at Iowa from Jan. 25 will be shown at 7 p.m. on Jan. 29. Illinois' home Feb. 16 match with Michigan State from Huff Hall can be seen Feb. 21 at 5 p.m.

Earlier this fall, the Big Ten Network became the first new network in cable or satellite television history to reach 30 million homes in its first 30 days.
