ILLINI FANS!!

Last week we completed our 8th week of classes meaning we are half way through the semester... YAY!!! I know another round of mid-terms are coming up for some of us, but with this weekend being Fall Break, it will be a good time to study and catch up on our work. For fall break we get Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off of practice. I know we are all excited for this time to relax and visit with our family and friends, but even more so to come back and know we will have 20 days until Intra-squad! Intra-squad will be a great time to see what we look like in a competition setting, but there is no doubt we will look better than ever and even more motivated and excited for the start of season!

It has been a great week in the gym with our new addition Jay Santos. He is fitting in very well with our team along with our freshmen and showing a lot of variety in our bar assignments, which I know once we all adjust to, is going to be a GREAT benefit. We have all been working very hard in preseason and the energy in the gym is fantastic! All the positive attitudes and loud cheering in the gym is guaranteeing our success in our skill work!

This past weekend we worked registration at the Breast Cancer Walk so be sure to check out our new pictures!! This week is Homecoming Week and all the orange and spirit around campus shows off everyone's pride to be an Illini! The band came into the dining halls on Monday night and played during dinner. It was really fun to see everyone dancing and enjoying our Illini band. Football plays Indiana this Saturday for our Homecoming game.

Thanks for reading and tune in next week for another Illini Ink!

GO ILLINI!

-Macy
