May 13, 2013
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - University of Illinois women's gymnastics head coach Kim Landrus announced the addition of Emily Lennon (Calgary, Alberta, Canada//Bishop Carroll HS) to the Illini squad for the 2013-14 season. Lennon signed a national letter of intent this past week with the Orange and Blue, becoming the fourth member of Landrus' recruiting class for the upcoming season along with Erin Buchanan, Mary Jane Horth and Sarah Lyons, who all signed in November.
"I am thrilled to be adding Emily to our 2013 signing class," said Landrus. Her personality, work ethic, and skill level will fit in perfect with our philosophy at Illinois. When I went to watch her in Calgary, I knew immediately that she had so much potential as an NCAA athlete. Then, when her and her parents visited Champaign, it was clear they could see themselves part of the Orange and Blue family."
