Get behind the scenes of Illinois Gymnastics with Illini Ink - the weekly women's gymnastics journal. In this year's 25th edition, freshman Alina Weinstein talks about the team's postseason preparations, Cirque du Soleil and Spring Break plans.

Hey Illini Fans!

It has been an exciting week for everyone coming off the win against Missouri. We are now in the post season which means that championships are almost here! With only the State of Illinois classic and Big Tens left, we are that much closer to finding out where we will be competing for Regionals which has everyone very excited and curious. With that said, we are working hard in the gym to make corrections to small details which we think will give us an edge against our competition.

This week the Cirque du Soleil Allegria group is in town performing at Assembly Hall and all of us are very excited to see the show together. With spring break also coming up, it's that time again where all the dormers will move in with the seniors and juniors and we all become one big happy family.

Spring break will give us a much needed break from school so we can all focus on our gymnastics for Big Tens. I am sure that all the girls can agree that they are very excited for this meet! We will also have goody bags waiting for us in Ohio that all the parents are putting together for us. I know my mom has been calling me every other day asking me what to put in the goody bags and whether we will all like it - it's very cute. Be sure to cheer for us while we take on the state of Illinois this weekend!

Enjoy the nice weather and thanks for reading!
