Hey Illini Fans-

I can't believe we are already heading into our 4th meet of the season. Last weekend we had a great meet with the Iowa Hawkeye's. Unfortunately we were unable to come out on top due to some early struggles on the vault. However, we finished with three other great events and another outstanding score of 194.4. Right now we are ranked 15th in the nation and we couldn't be more excited. Everyone is keeping up the hard work in the gym in order to keep improving our routines and fixing the little things.

This weekend we will be heading to Ohio State to take on the Buckeyes, along with Michigan State and Missouri. All of these teams are looking great at the start of the season so it's sure to be a great competition.

Classes are back in full gear as well around Champaign-Urbana. It is so nice to see everyone walking around campus again. It can get a little lonely during the breaks with no one around. Unfortunately it has been extremely cold and snowy. Walking to class is quite a workout and so is trying to stay on your feet (I've seen so many people wipeout walking down the sidewalks). I can definitely say for most of us on the team one thing we do like about being back in school is having a schedule for everyday.

We are back to our Tuesday morning spinning classes now that we have started our second semester. We do get a little bit of a break this semester and only have to be up bright and early one day instead of two. I know that the first day was a little rough for everyone because it had been a while since we did spinning but this past week everyone was right back into things with many of the girls getting nearly 24 miles. I think we are finally figuring out how to tire our energetic teacher Lisa out a little bit! : )

Well I hope everyone is having a great week. Don't forget to watch this weekends meet on the Big Ten Network next Saturday. Also, get your pink shirts ready for the annual Pink Meet to support Breast Cancer on Sunday, February 15th at 2pm at Huff Hall.

Thanks for reading and GO ILLINI.
