2014 - Freshman: After missing the first half of the season due to injury, Horth hit all 16 routines she performed, competing on bars for the last eight meets before adding vault and beam starting on March 15 ... Horth hit her career high 9.85 twice on vault and set a career high of 9.875 on beam, never dropping below a 9.8 on either event during the team's postseason run ... Was one of the team's best performers at NCAA Championships, leading the squad on both bars (9.775) and beam (9.8) while also contributing a 9.825 on vault ... Hit a 9.8 or higher on all three events at the Big Ten Championships ... Her career high of 9.9 on bars, set at the Minneapolis Regional, tied the second highest on the season ... Horth also finished the year ranked within the top-100 on bars with a 9.84 RQS ... Scholastic All-American ... Named to the Dean's List in Fall 2013 and Spring 2014.

Personal: Born February 27, 1995 ... Daughter of David and Marilyn Horth ... Mom played volleyball at Cleveland State, Dad was a skier at Stanford, older brother Matt played soccer at Gordon College and now in the MLS with the New England Revolutions, older brother Mike played volleyball at Ohio Northern University, and finally her twin brother Tim currently plays soccer at Lipscomb University in Nashville ... Chose Illinois because, "The coaches and girls on the team really drew me in, but I also loved the campus, academics, and student life here." ... Majoring in Kinesiology.

What went through your head when you realized you advanced to Nationals: The light at the end of the tunnel had finally come!

The addition of Maryland and Rutgers brings what to the conference? New challenges & new faces, but ultimately they will heighten the depth of the Big Ten conference and I'm so excited to compete against them both!

Describe the 2015 team in one word: Fervent

Biggest learning experience from last season: Coming back from injury, I learned to trust the coaches and the plan they have set for us, because with hard work and dedication it will get us to where we need to be!

Meet or opponent most excited to compete in/against this season: Ohio State

Teammate most likely to become famous (and what will make her famous): Jordyn Givens for being a shoe model for Crocs and Jandals

One goal for this season: For our team to be unified and qualify to nationals for the 3rd year in a row!

Pre-meet superstitions: I have to have my gray USA Gymnastics water bottle with me at all times before & during the meet, & I refuse to use any other water bottle besides that one.
