2012 - Freshman: Did not compete.
High School/Club: Placed eighth on bars, 10th on floor and 14th in the all-around at the 2011 JO Level 10 Regional Championships ... Took third in the all-around and on vault, fifth on beam, sixth on bars and eighth on floor at the 2009 Level 9 Eastern National Championships ... Finished sixth in the all-around and on bars and beam at the 2009 Level 9 Regional Championships ... Won the all-around and came in second on beam, fifth on floor and sixth on vault and bars at the 2009 Level 9 Indiana State Championships ... Was an Illinois State Scholar and Presidential Scholar along with earning academic honors ... Competed for Legacy Elite ... Club coaches were Jiani Wu and Yuejiu Li.
Personal: Born July 12, 1993 ... Daughter of Dzung and Francoise Nguyen ... Has one brother, Michael ... Says she chose Illinois because "of the reputation for academic excellence, the team unity, and the comfort of being close to home." ... Majoring in Kinesiology.

What I've learned from Coach Landrus: I've learned that it is about the process, not the goal. We have to focus on the process: the hard work, focus, positive energy, and everything else that leads up to the goal and not completely on the goal itself. Without the process, the goal will never be accomplished.
