2004 - Junior: Team Co-captain...Competed at the NCAA Championships in the all-around, finishing tied for 46th in the AA (38.450) and tied for 24th on beam (9.775)...Was the first UI gymnast - along with teammate Cara Pomeroy - to advance to the NCAA Championships in 17 years...Scored a 39.275 - including a career-high 9.925 on bars - at the South Central Regional meet to finish seventh and advance to Nationals...Shared the team's Most Outstanding Gymnast award with Pomeroy...Second Team All-Big Ten selection...Competed all-around in every meet in 2004 and has done so in 38-of-39 meets in her UI career...Hit 14-of-14 floor routines and 13-of-14 vaults...Won six event titles and had 20 top-three finishes in `04...Had a career meet vs. Ball State where she shattered the UI all-around record (39.475) to get the win, and also took the vault (9.850) and beam (9.900) titles with career-high scores and took second on floor (career-high 9.900) and bars (9.825)...Won the beam (9.875) and all-around (39.225) vs. No. 5 Iowa State and later won the bars vs. Illinois St...Academic All-Big Ten selection.

2003 - Sophomore: Second Team All-Big Ten selection ...Tied a career-high with a 9.900 on bars to tie for fourth at the Big Ten Championships...Competed in the all-around at the NCAA South Central Regional Championships, finishing 18th...Tied the school AA record of 39.350 vs. Minnesota and UIC (record later broken by Kara Kapernekas)...Set career highs of 9.90 on bars and 9.875 on beam, winning both as well as the AA at that meet...Won six individual titles - four bars, one beam and one all-around - and had 14 top-three finishes...Academic All-Big Ten selection.

2002 - Freshman: Became the first UI gymnast to be named First Team All-Big Ten since 1999 by finishing third in the AA (39.125) at the Big Ten Championships ...Named Big Ten Freshman of the Year...Shared the team's Most Outstanding Gymnast honors with Jana Gallagher...Named Illinois' Female Newcomer of the Year...Competed in the AA at the NCAA South Central Regional Championships, finishing 16th...Won the AA in her first-ever collegiate meet with a 38.750 at Minnesota and was named Big Ten Gymnast of the Week (1/9/02) following that feat...Won 14 individual titles and finished in the top three 34 times throughout the season...Took first on vault (9.775), uneven bars (9.775) and all-around (38.625) vs. Illinois State...Won the vault (9.775), uneven bars (9.825) and all-around (39.125) at UIC...Won the same three events for a third time vs. SEMO with a 9.800 on vault, a 9.850 on uneven bars and a season-high 39.200 in the all-around.

Took first on bars and fourth on floor for an all-around finish of fourth at Level 10 Nationals to become a Region VIII national team member... Region VIII team won the 2001 national competition...Coached by Tom Haley and Marianne Nunnally.

Daughter of Deanna Williams...Has one brother ...Member of the National Honor Society... Says her club coach, Tom Haley, has had the biggest influence on her athletic career...Hobbies include watching football and baseball.
